A stray cat appeared Monday evening. The kids found him first and began to play with him. I was surprised because I have never had a stray cat appear before. I had sent out a wish to the universe for a cat to appear the week before, and now for the first time in my life, a cat appeared sitting in front of my door.

What made this even more interesting was that, on the second day, we discovered that he had an abscess on his back – most likely caused by a cat bite. It was painful for him and he didn’t want anyone touching him near that spot. I grew worried, since I had had a cat with the same condition that became extremely ill. I decided to request a shamanic healing for him.

Wednesday morning, I journeyed to the spirit realm where my spirit guide performed the healing. I saw him lance the abscess, remove the pus, and then angels came to infuse the cat with positive energy for healing. Afterward, I asked my spirit guide how the healing would come about in the physical realm? I was to see only a few hours later.

In the afternoon, my son came up to me and asked me to take a look at the cat’s abscess. He thought there was something stuck in it. I examined it and found that a small portion of the cat’s hair had become hardened from the fluids leaking from the abscess. I gently pulled at the tiny hair clump and it came off. It also pulled off the skin covering the abscess, which opened it. Step one: the abscess was now lanced, just like in the healing. We covered it with antibiotic cream and hoped for the best.

When we woke in the morning, the abscess was gone. Sometime during the night, the pus in the abscess came out. The cat kept the site clean as he waited for the abscess’s opening to heal. Step two: the pus was removed.

I was reminded that the spirit guides would often help me to remember that the healings are real. I saw this healing play out before my eyes. It could have become life threatening and expensive with vet bills, but instead within a day the problem was gone. I thought about my original request of wanting a cat to appear, and how fitting that it would be a cat that needed healing services!

Now I am left to deal with the reality that he does not know how to use a litter box (he sleeps in it). In order to keep him or find him a new home, he will need to know how to use the litter box. I think I’ll ask for the spirit guides help with that.
